A community for the sport

Rattle is a place for lawful sport shooting, targets, range days, competitions, equipment records and respectful discussion. A firearm appearing in a sporting photo is not, by itself, a violation of these rules.

Keep claims honest. Label self-reported results accurately. Do not present an unverified result as independently verified or officially certified. Follow range rules, applicable law and the direction of qualified range staff.

What does not belong here

• Threats, targeted harassment or hate.
• Sexual exploitation, explicit sexual content or graphic real-world injury.
• Encouragement of illegal or reckless weapon use, or instructions intended to harm people.
• Offers, requests or links to purchase, sell or transfer firearms or ammunition. Rattle is not a marketplace.
• Someone else’s private information, or content you do not have the right to share.

Before a submission is shared

Shared profiles, photos, text, group descriptions, challenges, results and comments are held for manual operator review before they become visible to others. Edits require another review. Pending items remain visible to their author.

A held item has not been approved. No review deadline is promised during pre-release testing. Review is a content decision; it does not certify the accuracy of a score or the safety of an activity.

Report, block and request review

Use Report on a post, comment, profile, group, challenge or result. Reports are saved for manual operator review. Receiving a report does not mean that an action has already been taken.

Use Block on a person’s profile to stop signed-in interaction and remove the follow connection. Group owners can remove members and comments. Rattle operators can remove content and suspend accounts, recording their reason.

To question a decision, follow the contact instructions on Support. Include your username and the affected post, group or challenge identifier. Read Privacy for the retention limits that apply to reports and moderation records.

Real-world responsibility

Rattle records and shared content do not replace qualified instruction, manufacturer guidance or range supervision. Treat AI output as information to review, not as a guarantee of accuracy or safety.

Rattle is not an emergency service. If someone faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
